Creve Coeur DMV

Awful service. I went to this location to renew my plates. Upon entering, I wanted to ask a quick yes or no question, and the staff refused to answer a question without it being my "turn". Service was very slow, and after a 50 minute wait with an infant, I presented my documents to the staff. The person assisting me indicated I was missing a document, and turned me away without so much as looking up at me. I told her I had called the day before to confirm what documents I needed, and left a voicemail, and indicated my frustration that no one returned my call. The staff member next to her said to me "look at the wait, we can't take phone calls". I fail to understand why an office has a phone number with voicemail capabilities if they have zero interest in calling people back. Furthermore, as I was being to walk away, visibly frustrated, the staff member said "maybe you should learn to read" - referring to the renewal postcard. This was extremely unprofessional and inappropriate. I went and got the documentation I was lacking and took my business to the DMV on Manchester and waited in a shorter line, although there were 3 times as many people. More staff was working, the system was digital so they provided estimated wait times, and I overheard the staff kindly informing customers that if they did not have all their documents at the window, they could come back that day and be seen immediately without waiting in line. Perhaps the Creve Coeur DMV could learn a thing or two about how to be professional and courteous. Shame on them for the deplorable language shown.
