Cameo Winchester

If I could rate this facility less than a one star I would. The director, Amy, was very uncaring and unkind to the children. Upon entering they were rarely greeted with a good morning, and the final straw for me was when we walked in the door and she immediately started berating my son for putting his fingers on the glass when he pushed open the front door (which is largely made of glass with a wooden frame around it). The look on his face of total rejection was enough for me to decide it was time for a change. I have never met a more cold and uncaring individual, and it disgusts me to know that she is the director at a child care facility. Almost on a daily basis, we would bring our kids in for the day and she would have some child crying and sitting in time out. I have never seen her pat a child on the back, give them a hug or be caring toward them in any manner. Any parent with children absolutely knows you will have fingerprints on your windows. If your main concern is for that, obviously my child is not. Amazing more is the smell of urine when you walk in the classroom with carpet to your left. I would think a director would be worried about that vs fingerprints on the windows. It is truly a shame that a few good teachers will have a bad name for working in such a shoddy facility. The difference I have seen in my youngest since leaving this facility has been amazing. It breaks my heart to think of how different he was there, afraid to talk or say good bye or hello to anyone. He is like a totally different child at the facility we now have him attending. I will give kudos to Ms. Tameka and Ms. Stacey at DLC, the main reason we kept our kids there as long as we did. They are exceptional with the children and my kids loved them. But even the caregivers seem afraid of Amy. The Wentzville DLC facility is much nicer and cleaner, and I felt the caregivers there were much more compassionate. I would presume because the owner is the director of that facility. Please do yourself and your children a huge favor, and pass up DLC St. Peters.
