A few years ago, I had a motorcycle claim while Alyson was my agent. This was my first claim on any vehicle, so I was not aware of the process. It was very easy as Farmers arranged for the Ducati dealership to come to my home, pick up the motorcycle, and provide an estimate. The vehicle was totaled but I was extremely pleased with how they helped me get a new motorcycle. All I had to do was focus on my injuries. I thought this was normal for vehicle insurance. NOPE.
Sometime after, I found cheaper rates with State Farm. The price difference was significant enough for me to change, but I would soon find out why... Unfortunately, I went through the claim process again and it was one of the most frustrating and labor intensive processes I have experienced. No need to go into the details, but it was painful (apart from the crash)! My agent Dane Huxel was worthless and State Farm fought me the entire way.
I have since switched back to Alyson and Farmers (AND Alexandria) because, even though it is more expensive, the value far outweighs the increased cost! Crashes are stressful, especially when you are injured. Well, unless you have this agent!
