Everyone was polite and nice, which is why I'm ok with giving them 1 star instead of 0. I had surgery, which was performed by a doctor from this office. They would not give me a quote for surgical facility fees before hand, they said they were in network but were not, and billed me fees of $20,000.00 for the facility services alone(plus more for the anesthesiologist and the surgeon). That is almost 10 times what my insurance will allow/cover if they were in network. The surgeon did NOT give me any options on where I could have the procedure, because if he had I could have gone somewhere in network. It took them five months to get me the bill. After all that, I did some digging online. It looks like this surgery center is owned at least in part by one of the podiatrists who works in the office with shared space. Apparently it is somewhat common for a surgeon to own a surgery center, which is where they perform surgeries, and the surgeon to be in network but not the surgery center(which is frequently not disclosed in advance). Since they bill for so much, maybe it's a good way for a surgeon to earn a lot more money.
