Went and test drove a used Honda Pilot on the lot. Great car for 10000. Was getting finanacial help to purchase the car. Attempted to put a hold on the car with 500 down the same day. The next day the debit card was given again over the phone to run. Then I offered another 1000 cash towards the purchase. Dealership did not run the debit card given to hold the car, and refused to except the cash offered towards the vehicle. After 3 days of speaking with the sales rep, was told the car was sold. But yet I checked today and it's still listed on the site as available. All of this because I have lower than average credit, and they were worried I wouldn't get approval. Even though they told me the special finance rep was off all this week and to check back, and boasted how he's good at his job in handling "special" cases.
A dealership that refuses $1500 to put towards a vehicle....unheard of, and I still don't understand why the money was refused. I felt very dismissed, and wasn't given a chance.
Had they been patient they may have found out I would have bought the car out right with cash, as a last resort option, and paid my financial supporter back.
I will take my business somewhere else.
