Washington University physicians - Northwest Pediatrics

The office staff at St. Charles is pretty rude, particularly the nurse who answers phone calls. I am a first time mom so naturally I have a lot of questions, but it got to a point where I would call the Wentzville or Florissant office bc I didn't want to deal with the nurse at St. Charles. At the beginning of the year (we had been patients for the last 6 months) they refused to refill my sons medication he had been on for 3 months prior and refused to let us talk to the dr without an appt, but they made us cancel our appt bc we didnt have our new insurance cards (but had insurance). That left a bad taste in my mouth that they care more about the money than their patients. I also work in health care and know that my office staff can call said insurance company and get any info they need. Dr. Miele was really friendly everytime we went in, but we had informed her that my husband was born with a genetic heart condition. I never felt like she was very thorough and she never checked my sons pulses once. We ended up switching pedis after the new year fiasco and our new pedi heard a heart murmur within 5 minutes of looking at my son at his 6 month check up. He referred us to children's and turns out my son does I'm fact have a heart condition and must see a cardiologist yearly. Don't recommend NW pediatrics..
