So here is the breakdown of this place. It has a great location at the City Market, making it convenient for anyone who is hungry to easily grab a bite to eat. The patio is also spacious and makes for great people watching and beer drinking. The food was tasty, but not the best BBQ in KC by any means. I think the disappointment comes in the way they run the restaurant and their mediocre service. It took about 10 minutes before we were even noticed because they don't have a hostess and they just tell you to sit wherever and someone will be with you. Not the greatest way to keep track of your guests. So we ordered a couple beers, took another 10 minutes for that, and no offers of a water, which I find weird since most places start you off with a water. When the food came out I was pretty excited for mine, but my boyfriend who had ordered the same thing had one slice of pork on his sandwich that looked nothing like mine. We asked a nearby waitress about it and she just said yea that's a pulled pork sandwich. For $11.99 a plate, you should be getting more than one slice and it should look similar to the person's who ordered the exact same plate. Our waiter thankfully fixed the issue and we appreciated that. Overall, it's a great place to eat if you don't want to go far and are craving BBQ, but if you are looking for a fun KC experience from a BBQ joint, I don't recommend this place.
