The staff is compassionate and we'll trained. In many ways this facility is much better than larger hospitals. A few years ago my father was in an major accident. He was initially treated at a level one trauma center. His main complaint was neck pain and a headache. After only taking a few x-rays (none of his neck) and labs he was discharged. I took my father to see Dr. Reid who actually listened to my dads complaints. It turned out my dad had a fractured vertebrae in his neck, internal carotid artery damage and other injuries. Dr. Reid then stayed late to make sure my dad was transferred to a facility that could manage his multiple medical problems. We are very fortunate to have such great healthcare providers in the area.
I worked there for almost 4 years and have to say it's a great rural hospital and the county is lucky to have it. I've worked at quite a few large inner city hospitals that may have more to offer but you'll get quality care while you are there and if more is needed outside their realm of expertise they'll see to it that you are transferred to the best hospital ASAP.
